China's rubber industry is on a new level

Recently, the news came from the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute that the lithium-based initiator prepared by the institute prepared a star-shaped heteroarm rubber pilot test technology development project, and passed the expert acceptance organized by the China Petroleum Science and Technology Management Department. This project is a sub-project of the "Polybutadiene Rubber Production Technology and New Product Development" project jointly undertaken by the Petrochemical Institute and Dushanzi Petrochemical Company. The pilot scale is 100 tons/year.
The researchers used difunctional divinylbenzene (DVB) as a coupling agent to develop a heteroarm copolymerization technique between isoprene and random styrene to synthesize a star isoprene and star. Heteroarm copolymer rubber of random styrene.
Through the study of high coupling efficiency and coupling degree and polymer sequence structure control, the stability control of divinylbenzene coupling process and polymer quality was realized, and a highly coupled star-arm hybrid was obtained. The new rubber grade SIBRsm-4020 has been systematically studied.
The successful development of this new structural integrated rubber (SIBR) is of great significance for the upgrading of China's rubber industry and the better response of tire companies to EU tire labeling regulations.
