LANXESS hosts HSE seminars to help green chemicals

On June 12th, the German LANXESS Group and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) held the first seminar on safety, environmental protection and health (HSE) in Ningbo to share environmental protection, occupational health and safety. LANXESS' goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and energy consumption by 10% and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions by 30% between 2010 and 2015. In addition, the company spares no effort to develop bio-based raw materials and conduct carbon footprint analysis for related products. In terms of safety, LANXESS has launched the Xact program worldwide in 2011 to improve occupational safety, process and plant safety.
